A.J. Sealy

is a composer, orchestrator and producer. He was born and raised in Massachusetts, practically incorporating music into his life since birth. Studying piano at a young age, A.J. made an early decision to venture into the realm of scoring for media. His musical education consisted of piano under the instruction of Tudor Bota, and the contrabass, under the instruction of Helen Stevenson.

Graduating from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in May of 2011, Adrian completed the Bachelor’s Degree requirements for a dual major in Film Scoring and Contemporary Writing/Production. His experiences and training at Berklee prepared him for the work he would receive after completing school, and have helped him make many connections within the industry.

Adrian has written music for independent pictures, such as BLACKOUT (2014), FESTIVAL (2011), and A COLD WINTER'S NIGHT (2012). He’s written music for many television programs currently in syndication, such as POLICE P.O.V., KNOWN UNIVERSE, FACT or FAKED: PARANORMAL FILES, and is currently working on various other projects with other production companies and commercial organizations.

Sound Designer

There is value to keeping your ears on their toes.

Sound design can be a tricky beast to tame. There are many levels and aspects involved, and equally as many approaches to take. Sound design can be as simple as manipulating a saw wave, or as detailed as reprocessing a multilayered sequence of samples, all underneath a plethora of effects. We hear sound design in our advertisements, games, television shows, and most prominently, films.

Needless to say, sound design is a crucial part to the overall listening experience when it comes to modern media.

A small sample of what sound design can be

Almost every score written and produced by A.J Sealy is guaranteed to have at least a few elements of sound design contained within, with varying levels. Often times, the score calls for a modern edge, and the fabrication of new sounds is necessary. Other times, the desired sound just doesn't exist yet, and must be created. Whatever the case may be, the trick is to be tasteful, and to make it musical. By doing this, A.J.'s scores are consistent with the increasingly popular "hybrid sound".

While piano was his first instrument from the age of 3, A.J. has been an active bassist both in and out of the studio for the better half of his life. Beginning with classical roots, A.J. was a bassist in multiple district and state orchestras before venturing into electric bass. Self taught for the majority of his career, he has modeled his playing after many of the greats, such as Jaco Pastorius, Rocco Prestia, Mike Gordon, and many others. A.J. plays an Ibanez SR506, and an Ibanez EWB205.
